Erasers

You don't have to worry about making mistakes with this huge selection of Erasers:

Of course almost the most important eraser of all is the kneaded eraser. These are great for lifting color, and you can snap them apart to clean out the graphite from them.
Kneaded Erasers

White plastic erasers, Gum erasers, Pink pearl erasers.

Artists' Mediums Inc. also carries Helix electric erasers and the refills that go with it.

This is a battery operated handheld eraser, much lighter than the old fashioned plug in ones. The advantage is that you can even use it to erase out highlights!

Sanford Eraser sticks are an old favorite for a lot of folks:

There is a wide selection of new detail oriented Erasers which give even more control and finesse:

We also always have a selection of fun, interesting, and unique erasers, this stock is constantly changing.

These make great gifts for artists young or old.

Window sign

I made a new sign for our window.
I used Acrylics, and a wonderful paper called Sheer Trace.

This should block out the sun better, since the sun in the afternoon streams in!

Canson two sided Bristol

We are now carrying Canson two sided Bristol.

This may not be exciting to everyone, but I think it is brilliant.
Instead of having to buy vellum surfaced bristol when you want texture, and smooth bristol for your fine pen and ink work...you get one pad of paper, and if you don't like one side of the paper, you flip it obver and use the other side. what a great and economical idea!

...and we just got three sizes back in stock!

Sketch-tastic!

Hello!  Kristin here, I thought I'd chime in tonight with some interesting things I've come across recently.
First up, this is courtesy of Hi-Fructose magazine
Attaboy and Annie Owens at Sketch Tuesday

Gather a big bunch of artists together for some intensive drawing (and art-selling) time.  Music, libations, and watching the art flow.  This particular bunch of folks gather for a monthly art event such as this, hear that?
Obviously, the Bay Area has a high concentration of creative types, but I'm willing to bet that we could arrange something like this here in VT sometime.

My second offering is

Their mission:  The Campaign's work will finish when the words 'I can't draw' are dropped from our vocabulary.
It's a lofty goal, but why not aim for it?

Seems like the time is ripe, my friends!  I'd love to see an event like this take place here in Vermont.

Whoops, before I forget, there is one local event that I have heard good things about but have yet to attend:
"Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School" which some of you may have read about in Seven Days.
For those of you down in the White River Junction area, check it out!  I'm waiting to hear when the Waitsfield chapter will reopen at the Big Picture Theater, which would certainly be an easier commute on a weeknight!

That's all for tonight.  Hope it inspired you to crack open the sketchbook.
