Display Books

Display books come in many sizes and have many uses.

It’s good to store your art work, reference photos but also.
Even a family vacation can be neatly stored in these variously sized books.
You can preserve your artistic accomplishments by making a simple career portfolio: (Save any newspaper write ups, fliers, or postcards from art exhibits you’ve participated in, along with lists & photos of your art that was exhibited there, for a wonderful record of your creative endeavors.)

“I like to keep a record of my various snow sculptures in a display book along with clippings of them from when they show up in local newspapers. When you build something so fleeting, it’s good to be able to keep them after they are gone. They are on the web too, but I still like to have copies I can touch.” Click here for the online snow sculptures.

A great New Product for Dye!

Color Magnet™

Color Magnet™ is a dye attractant that magically attracts more dye where it is applied. Use it in combination with any color, or type, of Jacquard dye. It doesn’t stiffen fabric, so the two-toned result is perfectly soft.

This thicker formulation of Color Magnet™ was made specifically for screen printing. It can also be used for stamping or stenciling. Size 16 fl oz/.47 L
Instructions:
Apply Color Magnet™ directly from jar to fabric by screen printing, stamping or stenciling. Let dry thoroughly. Drying can be aided by the use of a hair dryer. Dye according to dye package instructions. Color Magnet™ will attract more dye where it has been applied.

Outdoor sculptures

Spring is officially here, the sun has broken through the clouds from this morning, and we just received our shipment of PAVERPOL!
Some reasons you might want to investigate this medium:

Paverpol was developed by Dutch artists as a user-friendly replacement for resin.
Dip fabrics into Paverpol, drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and leave it to dry. Paverpol dries fast, but slowly enough to allow plenty of open working time.

Paverpol adheres to almost all materials, except plastic. And unlike most hardeners, it does NOT deteriorate polystyrene foam.  We stock the transparent Paverpol, which can be used with colored fabrics or pigmented with any of our powdered pigments.
Here's one new tip I just discovered:
"Except for the 250 ml squeeze-top bottle, Paverpol is concentrated. According to the materials used and desired strength, it can be diluted with no more than 1/4 cup of water per 500 grams. This will increase the viscosity, ease of use and extend the volume of product without affecting final hardness."

After it has hardened, you have created a unique decoration or sculpture, which can be used indoors or outdoors.
