Aritsts’ Mediums provided Sloan with 40”x60” foam core panels, a 30”x60” stretched canvas and a few dozen cans of Plutonium Spray Paint. He hand-cuts his stencils from a thick paper (similar to posterboard) and then layers different colors to add depth to the intricate designs.
About Sloan ( LIFE ): Sloan was born in Florida, but currently resides in California. He is a self-taught artist who uses DIY techniques to bring new life to the ancient craft of stenciling. Based in downtown Los Angeles, Sloan has been painting public murals since 2010.
