In like a Lion, out like a Lamb. Though March may not be Plein Air friendly, April is an artists’ blank canvas. With new beginnings of the Spring season, it’s time to dust off those portable easels and get outside. Join Holbein Artist Educator Matt Hopper for a two hour informational seminar on everything an artist needs to take their artwork out of the studio and into the fresh air.
*Plein air: En plein air (French pronunciation: [ɑ̃ plɛˈnɛʁ]) is a French expression which means "in the open air", and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors.
Speaking of Plein air, have you heard about the Plein Air Festival being held this July 23rd in Jericho? Pre-registration deadline for artists is March 15th. OPEN STUDIO IS COMING!!!
We wanted to let you know that this year Artists' Mediums Inc. will be CLOSED during the Open Studio Tour, May 23rd, 24th, and 25th, because many of you will be participating, and some of the store's staff will be found in the local group shows, or maybe visiting your studio!
